The Shepherd Color Company’s Top News of 2021

Shepherd Color announced the opening of their Shenzhen office in April 2021 that will import, stock and sell The Shepherd Color Company and Shepherd Technologies products in China.

The main office will be in Shenzhen with three further staff based in Shanghai. Shepherd Color will continue to hold stock in both Shanghai and Shenzhen warehouses and will continue to provide excellent service to its customers.

Many of their distributor's staff have joined Shepherd Color Shenzhen, under the leadership of Ms. Wing Ye.

Bismuth Vanadate (BV) Yellow, product code 30C133, was launched in March 2021. Also known as C.I. Pigment Yellow 184, it is widely used in high-performance yellow color matches and has wide regulatory approvals and inclusion in chemical registries around the world. Shepherd Color's Yellow 30C133 is only available in their Dynamix® brand, which removes the time consuming, energy-intensive and variable pigment grinding step in laboratory development, scale-up, and full production. Yellow 30C133 is all inorganic and doesn't have any organic dispersion aids or resins included that might compromise the performance of systems incorporating Yellow 30C133.

Chromium Oxide Green, product code 30C659, was launched in June 2021. Also known as C.I. Pigment Green 17, this pigment is widely used in high-performance color matches and has wide regulatory approvals and inclusion in chemical registries around the world. Green 30C659 is an addition to the Arctic® IR Reflective line of pigments which have become the standard for use in 'cool coatings' because of their potential to reduce energy usage in building products. Shepherd Color's Green 30C659 incorporates their Dynamix® technology, which removes the time consuming, energy-intensive, and variable pigment grinding step in laboratory development, scale-up, and full production.

With the launch of Bismuth Vanadate (BV) Yellow, or product 30C133 in March 2021, Shepherd Color launched their Virtual Showroom to showcase a number of their complex inorganic color pigments and the brands associated with these products. The Showroom includes a Knowledge Center that was populated with many webinars and videos for customers to learn more about the innovative products that Shepherd Color provides to the paint and coatings industries.
